The jersey design for this year’s WYŚCIG by Tomek Marczyński stems from a deeply personal perspective on cycling. For me, a road isn’t just a designated route, but above all, the sum of small, individual experiences that make up each kilometer.

Specific moments remain in memory: a stretch against the wind, a moment of silence in the forest, light reflecting off the warm asphalt. Using the collage technique, by combining various textures, colors, and shapes, I wanted to recreate the images that remain in our subconscious after a bike ride.

The colors (beige, green, purple, and black) evoke what we pass along the way: asphalt warmed by the sun, forests and fields, the shade of trees, and the cooler tones of dawn or evening. The composition isn’t literal, because each person who rides the same route will remember it differently. It’s this diversity of personal experiences that gives a shared journey its unique character—each of us creates our own image of the road.
